How We Use AI

NuLenke uses AI, and we want to be upfront about how. It helps us build this website and learn things we don't know, and there is no AI anywhere inside Lomenett. This page explains both halves.

Where we come from

Before this company, we were making other things, including music, art, and small projects that existed because we wanted them to. We still think of ourselves that way first. We're not experts in most of what running a company requires, and we don't pretend to be. What we brought to NuLenke was an idea we cared about and the willingness to learn everything else the slow way.

That background gave us one conviction we hold onto, which is that the creative part of the work should stay ours. The idea for Lomenett, the choice to build a password typer instead of another app, the design, and the promises we make on The Nevers all came from us, and they need to keep coming from us. If we handed that part over, we're not sure what would be left of the company worth caring about.

What we actually use AI for

Here's the honest list.

This website. We're two people, where Matt builds the hardware and Sid writes the firmware, and neither of us is a web developer. AI drafts and builds these pages from our notes, our documents, and our own words, and we read, correct, and approve everything before it goes up. The ideas are ours, and a lot of the typing is not, and we'd rather tell you that than let you assume otherwise.

Learning things we've never done before. A two-person company runs into something unfamiliar almost every day, whether that's running a store, compliance paperwork, or tools we'd never touched. AI helps us get from "never done this" to "done this carefully" without a department we can't afford. It helps us learn, and it doesn't make decisions for us.

Checking our work. With only two of us, we get too close to our own work to catch every mistake, so we use AI to check for errors before anything goes out.

One rule covers all of it: nothing goes out that one of us hasn't read and is willing to put our name on.

What we don't use it for

We don't use AI to come up with what this company says or believes. We don't generate fake reviews, fake testimonials, or fake people, and we don't publish AI-written filler to game search engines, which is on the Nevers list and stays there. Our security claims don't come from asking a chatbot whether our device is safe. They come from the design itself, which we lay out in the open on our attack surface page, including what we don't protect against.

There is no AI in Lomenett

This is the part we most want to be clear about: Lomenett contains no AI. There is no model, no assistant, no cloud, and nothing that learns about you. It's a stick that types your passwords, and we keep it simple on purpose, because simple things are easier to trust and easier to explain. We understand the contradiction in using very capable software to help build a device whose value is that it has no intelligence in it. That's deliberate, and we didn't want to hide it.

Why say any of this

Because "never lie" is one of our rules, and staying quiet about something this big in how we work didn't feel honest. We're grateful for the help, since without it two people couldn't do this, but the responsibility doesn't move. If something on this site is wrong, that's on us and not on a tool. We wrote this page so you'd know exactly what you're looking at, and who answers for it.
